10 Skin Care Tips for Preventing Acne
1) Wash Daily
This is number one on our list for obvious reasons. While acne isn't necessarily caused by bad hygiene, it is still good to wash your face frequently to prevent bacteria from building up on your face. Washing your face in the morning and eveing with the right cleanser for your skin type goes a long way in keeping your face clean, firm and beautiful.

Scrubbing your skin instead of gently washing it can make things worse. By scrubbing your skin, you're actually hurting it. Irritating the skin can help one pimple become two or even more inflamed. It's not just washing too hard that you have to watch out for, it's drying too hard too. Rubbing your skin too harshly with a towel after washing can cause the same problem. Try patting your face dry with the towel, this way your skin can stay hydrated and healthy.

No, you don't have to sterilize your brushes or handle them with surgeon gloves, just wash them out every two weeks or so. Since they're used pretty much exclusively on your face, you'd think they'd stay clean on their own, but you never know what you're brushing off as you're brushing on. If you find yourself breaking out lately then wearing any type of makeup (foundation, blush, or powder) can make it worse. Choose oil free cosmetics because they are better for your skin due to their lack of chemicals and dyes.
9) Sanitize your phone
You are constantly touching your phone and all those germs can go from your screen right up to your face. Wipe it down to wipeout breakouts.
10) Stop with the Dairy
Either stop or reduce the amount of dairy that you eat. Any type of dairy product contains cow hormones that can cause breakouts. If you can't live without the breakfast of champions, try it with skim milk. /p>
