Allison Heffernan,
Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Allison joined skyn ICELAND seven years ago and has held multiple leadership and management positions within the Sales Department over this time. She plays a critical role in propelling both retail and gross sales growth globally while also expanding retail presence and space. Allison has established skyn ICELAND as a top “go-to” and key growth brand for retailers by cultivating strong relationships and producing exceptional results. She started her career working in beauty retail stores and after graduating from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey with a Bachelor’s degree in both Women’s and Gender Studies and Sociology, joined the Customer Experience & Education team at Kiehl’s Since 1851, a part of the L’Oréal Group.

Lora Atkinson,
Vice President of Operations and Product Development

Lora joined skyn ICELAND in November 2020 as Vice President of Operations and Product Development.  She has more than 25 years of experience in the Beauty Industry working for Chesebrough Ponds, Unilever, Elizabeth Arden and Revlon.  Beginning her career in accounting and finance, Lora worked in various commercial positions including budgeting & planning where she provided direct commercial support for marketing plans and global launch initiatives. Lora later transitioned to operations where she held various positions in demand planning and supply planning and also supported the sales & operations planning process. Lora has a BS in Business Economics and Accounting from The New York State University College of Oneonta.

Dave Suter,
Interim CEO and CFO

Dave joined skyn ICELAND in September 2019 as Chief Financial Officer and recently also assumed the responsibilities of Interim Chief Executive Officer. He has over 30 years of experience in the Consumer Products and Beauty Industries and has a diverse background holding positions in accounting, finance, marketing and operations. His assignments have stationed him in various locations in the US, Asia and Europe. In terms of companies, he has worked for large international corporations, growing mid-size companies as well as start-up ventures. Aside from Skyn Iceland, his experience includes Unilever, Thermo Fisher Scientific. Elizabeth Arden, Calvin Klein Fragrances, Prestige Fragrances, Intelligent Nutrients and Royall Fragrances. Dave has an MBA from Rutgers University.

Sylvain Ducret,
Chairman of the Board

Sylvain Ducret is a Geneva-based executive who has over 25 years of experience in the cosmetics and healthcare industry as well as in operational roles for private equity firms. Mr. Ducret has extensive leadership experience and worked in several management roles in the Cosmetics industry.

Mr. Ducret held numerous executive positions at Clarins, Anteis and more recently Parfums Micallef. At Parfums Micallef, Mr. Ducret was an executive director a niche and luxury brand group of perfumes and cosmetics to organize the structure for its future growth and its sale.

Prior to joining Parfums Micallef, Mr. Ducret was Chief Financial Officer of Anteis, a healthcare company leader in its segment, Sylvain has shaping the group to transform it from a start up to an international group, including M&A and incorporation of several entities abroad before its successful sale and integration into the Merz group.

Prior to joining Anteis, Mr. Ducret worked for over 20 years in the Clarins Group in various senior operational and financial positions in Paris, Singapore and Geneva.

Mr. Ducret also gained valuable experience at Ralph Lauren. He graduated with a BA in Business Administration from ESIAE.

Frédéric Boulet,
Board Member

Frédéric Boulet is a Swiss Investor based in Geneva. Mr. Boulet is the controlling shareholder and majority investor in skyn ICELAND LLC.

Mr. Boulet used to be a director and main shareholder of Progisys, a private oil & gas services company. Mr. Boulet has served as Chief Executive of Pebercan, from September 2005 until September 2006. From September 2001 to August 2005, Mr. Boulet was Chief Executive of Maurel & Prom the largest French independent oil and gas exploration and production company.

Prior to joining Maurel & Prom, Mr. Boulet was the Business Development Director of the French Institute of Petroleum. Mr. Boulet has been a high civil servant in the French Government and in addition to other positions he has served as Chief of Staff of the French Minister of Energy.

Julien Balkany,
Board Member

Julien Balkany is a seasoned financial expert. Mr. Balkany has been a co-founder and serving as a managing partner of Nanes Balkany Partners, since January 2008. Nanes Balkany Partners is a NY-headquartered group of funds which primarily pursues equity value investments in oil and gas companies.

Mr. Balkany has been since October 2014, non-executive Chairman of Panoro Energy (www.panoroenergy.com), a Norwegian oil and gas exploration and production company with operations headquartered in London and publicly listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

Concomitantly Mr. Balkany has also been since 2018 a non-executive director of several companies, including but not limited to (i) Amromco Energy a privately held oil and gas exploration and production company with operations in Romania, (ii) Sarmin Bauxite Limited, a privately held bauxite company focused on Guinea and (iii) of the Board of Pan-African Diamonds Ltd, a privately head diamond mining company.

Mr. Balkany served as a non-executive Director of Gasfrac Energy Services, a Calgary-based oilfield services company that was listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, as well as of Norwegian Energy Company (Noreco) a Norwegian oil and gas exploration and production company with operations in listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. Mr. Balkany also served as Vice-Chairman and non-Executive Director of Toreador Resources Corp., an oil and gas exploration and production company with operations in Continental Europe and dual-listed on the NASDAQ and Euronext Paris.

Mr. Balkany worked at Nanes Delorme Capital Management LLC, a New York based financial advisory and broker-dealer firm, from 2005 to 2008. He studied Political Science at the Institute of Political Studies of Strasbourg (France) and Finance at UC Berkeley. Mr. Balkany is also fluent in French and Spanish.

Sarra Dadoul,
Board Member

Sarra is a global brand executive who brings 25 years’ experience in international brand development and transformation across industry-leading organizations, FMCG and Luxury Houses.

Sarra previously held senior leadership positions at Coty Luxury and Estée Lauder Companies where she worked for 16 years across a variety of global and regional roles in Europe and North America spanning fragrance, skin care, make-up and hair care.

There she led end-to-end brand management from shaping the vision to delivering retail excellence. She also proved her ability to adapt quickly and adopt a start-up mindset creating new brands like the Bottega Veneta fragrance house.

Sarra has an extensive track record in scaling brands world wide with deep experience in Asia and emerging markets. More recently, she served as Group General Director Brand Development Worldwide at La Prairie in Zurich where she spearheaded innovation, client excellence, digital acceleration and business development.

A multicultural brand builder, fluent in French, English and German, Sarra has lived and worked in France, Germany, Switzerland and the US.A graduate from ESA SKEMA, she studied management at The Wharton School and digital strategy and influencer marketing at General Assembly in New York.
